Database contents
This database contains metadata that has been harvested from other norwegian metadata repositories:
- METAMOD database at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute
- Metadata database at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR)
- RiS database at the Norwegian Polar Institute
Enter metadata
The Norwegian Polar Institute project and metadata database can be used to enter project information and metadata for your IPY datasets. New users need to sign up to use the database.
To enter IPY project information please use the NPI project database.
To enter metadata for IPY datasets please use the NPI metadata database.
Metadata can also be entered using the databases of met.no and IMR.
Please note that information entered into the database are subject to manual quality assurance, and will not be immediately available for retrieval or harvesting.
DOKIPY
The database and harvesting software has been developed during the project DOKIPY funded by the Norwegian Research Council.
